What is World Space Week ?World Space Week is an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition. The United Nations General Assembly declared in 1999 that World Space Week will be held each year from October 4-10. These dates commemorate two events:
|
A unique way of meeting real life astronomersDuring the event visitors will have the opportunity to learn more on space and meet those who work in this area of Physics locally. Opportunities are offered to all ages enabling discovery of what space study has to offer in a hands-on and interactive way.
A schools space themed projects exhibition will run alongside spectacular photographs displayed by the Astronomical Society of Malta taken locally. Different workshops to suit all ages run throughout the day and inspire creativity, innovative ideas and fun whilst promoting STEM careers. |
Theme for 2018 - "Space Unites the World"
